Studio Ordering and Cancellation Policies

Our team will be ready and waiting for your arrival at the studio and we kindly request our clients to value our time, talent and expertise by arriving at the studio at your allocated time in order to get the best experience out of your time with us.

Your Purchasing Appointment is an in person experience to view your Portrait Collection, see our products, design your wall art, and place your order. All decision makers must be present at this appointment.

If you opt to not finalise your order at your included purchasing appointment and need to view your photos again, we will book you in for a complimentary purchasing appointment, however a minimum purchase of $600 applies.

Cancellation policies apply.

1. Rescheduling your appointments

We require 7 days notice to reschedule appointments, we also understand that sometimes family members fall ill and we want to ensure that your family have the best possible experience. For clients needing to postpone appointments less than 7 days beforehand may be required to pay a rebooking fee. As our studio is a small business we heavily rely on bookings in our studio calendar to arrive on time and date given. 

The studio reserves the right to decline requests for Tuesday evenings, Fridays and Saturday appointments for clients that miss or postpone their initially issued appointment. 

Rebooking fee for appointments range from $55 – $400. 

2. Payment

Payment is due immediately upon placing your order using our EFTPOS facilities (debit card, Visa or Mastercard). We do not take AMEX. Prices are guaranteed at the time of booking your session. Prices are not negotiable under any circumstances, so please don’t ask as a refusal often offends.

3. Payment plans

Payment plans are available for all orders of $750 and over, and work similarly to a lay-by. The number of payments and amount of each is to be negotiated and agreed on with the studio when you place your order, and you will be required to sign a contract. The maximum period of time for a payment plan is 12 weeks unless using the Payright System. We require a minimum 25% deposit, due immediately upon placing your order, and repayments are made by credit card or debit cards. We do not do partial order fullment. If you decide to discontinue with your payment plan, monies paid are not refundable.

4. Retouching

The images you see in your Purchasing Appointment have been processed according to our style and standard, however they have not yet been retouched. Natural retouching is available on images chosen for prints, wall art and books/albums, ie, removing blemishes, skin smoothing etc. Additional retouching is available on request, however charges may apply. Images selected to be included in your Portrait Collection are at the discretion of The Wedding & Portrait Studio photographers. Images not purchased will be purged 4 weeks after processing is complete.

5. Producing your order

Your order will go into production straight away, It is your responsibility to check that your order is correct. Once your order is in production, it cannot be changed. Due to the nature of custom photography and personalised products, prints and products cannot be returned unless they are found to be faulty. Prints and wall art will be ready 3-4 weeks after your payment is received. Some items such as fine art books can take up to 8 weeks. When your order is ready, we will SMS and email you to organise a pick up appointment when they arrive.

Handling, storage and maintenance of your prints and products is your responsibility. Damage incurred as a result of improper handling, framing or hanging is your responsibility. Our studio is happy to provide advice on this.

6. Re-ordering

Images in your Portrait purchase will be available for re-order for 12 months following your session with orders over $1000. If you need to view your photos again, we will book you in for a complimentary purchasing appointment, however a minimum purchase of $400 applies. Re-orders are subject to the prices current at the time of ordering. If your original order is less than $1000, only the images you order will be kept on file, and the rest will be purged.

The Wedding & Portrait Studio takes every precaution when archiving your images, however cannot be held liable if something happens to the image that that is beyond their control. Archives will be kept for the lifespan of media (currently external hard-drives).
